In the Garden: PowWow Wildberry Echinacea Purpurea

Talk about packing a punch of color to my flower garden! PowWow Wildberry Echinacea Purpurea does it fantastically! When I saw the beautiful blooms of this herb I knew that I had to have it in my garden.  The flowers are a vivid rose-purple color with the orange cone like center that are about 3 or 4 inches in diameter .  They are a perennial so I can look forward to their returning blooms year after year!

What is the most colorful flower or herb in your garden?

  1. Love the looks of this flower during this time of the year! A friend divided theirs and gave me some last year. The blooms are so colorful now in the garden. I know it as Purple Coneflower and you've given us the scientific name. Anyway you want to call it . . . it's so beautiful.

    1. Hi Gail! Yes, I love the flower too! There are many varieties of the coneflowers or Echinacea Purpurea. This variety was an AAS winner in 2010 and I can certainly see why it would win an All American Selection award! Enjoy your blooms! So nice of your friend to share with you!
